Goaltenders (goalies) are prone to lacerations and head injuries due to the high-speed puck coming in contact with their protective facemask. The risks of any of these injuries are either reduced and/or eliminated when the goalie wears the ForceField FFTM Headband under the helmet. The force of the impact is significantly reduced as shown in the test data.
Another benefit is that the perspiration is absorbed into the headband just like any sweatband. Ordinary sweatbands do not absorb and dissipate measurable impact forces as shown in the test data.
