The ForceField FFTM Headband, invented by Dr. C. J. Abraham (www.scientificadvisory.com), is a lightweight, ventilated and adjustable with an impact absorbing polymeric layer that wraps around the head, offering increased protection at crucial impact zones at the forehead and back of the head.
It's all part of our patented design combining advanced technology without taking away any of the techniques involved in playing the sport of soccer.
Because of design of the headband, the ball always plays true as if it were coming directly from your head. Moreover, the ForceField FFTM Headband is in compliance with FIFA law 4, so it's not just in keeping with the spirit of the game, but also the rules.
The USSF and FIFA has published a recent memorandum on March 7, 2003 stating that the headbands will be allowed as long as (Law 4) "A player must not use equipment or wear anything which is dangerous to himself or another player."
The referee should determine whether the equipment, by its nature, presents a safety risk to the player wearing it or to other players.
The current interpretation found on the NFHS website reads: "Which of the following types of equipment is legal/illegal?
b) A head protector made of closed-cell, slow recovery rubber or similar material that stays soft in its final form worn by a field player: RULING: Illegal in (b)
The interpretation will change, effective immediately, to the following: Which of the following types of equipment is legal/illegal?
b) A headband made of a material that is soft in its final form and does not contain any hard and unyielding materials and is worn by a field player: RULING: LEGAL in (b)
Note: The change brings the NFHS into line with other principal soccer rule makers.
As a cautionary note, the NFHS Sports Medicine Advisory Committee has concluded that while padded headbands may assist in reducing the incidence of abrasions, the risk of concussions and other serious head injuries will remain a concern in the sport of soccer. A headband is not a substitute for an appropriate post-injury recuperative period.
Our main concern is for the younger children. We are of the opinion that our product will do more than any other product that is out in the market place. The low cost will allow all children to afford the protection. The risk of any serious head injury for young children is reduced significantly.
The product absorbs perspiration. If one side gets wet, you turn it inside out and use the other side. On real hot days, it can be place it under cold water and put on for cooling as well. It is easily washed by just placing the headband under a running faucet. Two United States patents have been approved, and there are others pending.
The features are:
The headband reduces the risk of head injuries when exposed to external forces.
The headband absorbs and dissipates perspiration.
It is reversible.
It comes in blue, red and black colors.
It is washable.
The headband can be placed inside protective helmets used in other sports such as a batter's helmet, bicycle helmet, hockey helmet, etc. This will significantly add to the reduction of the risk of a head injury.
The only protective headband designed for the sport of basketball.
Protective headband for children's recreational play.
The only protective headband that can be used as an insert in helmets, significantly reducing impact forces. (see Test Data)
